Innovation, taste and detail
After being picked, the ripe grapes are processed at our own winery. A combination of traditional and modern techniques, a fine nose, and an open mind makes outstanding wines.
Philipe Constantius is one of the top winemakers in South Africa. He was there in the first days of Eerste Hoop, for the composition of the wines, and for planting the vineyards. The grapes are processed into wine in the red cellar, and afterwards matured in oak casks. The bottling and labeling is all done on the estate itself.
Eerste Hoop believes in quality, and so pays great attention to the details. Everything is done to ensure the wine is offered in the best possible way. Choosing the right bottle, cork, and label are then essential aspects in the process.
